Kar-kweh Sanctuary
Philosophy - A place to call home - Explore, Learn and Connect.
A home in traditional setting, spiced with contemporary thinking, that provides modern comfort with a captivating ensemble of yore. All designed to create a safe space for “ME TIME.” With the singing, chirping and melody of the birds, the humming, bubbling, and trickilng sound of the river, and the “CUDDLY” rattling of the iron sheet rooftop as it rains, Kar-Kweh offers you the sanctuary you need to “FEEL” you, appraise and recalibrate your life.
Come enjoy and experience the traditional life and the ecosystem the sanctuary provides, an echo-friendly of mud and madness. Technically, the management of the farm is your responsibility during the duration of your stay.

What they say
To founders, funders, enjoy the intimate, intense & insightful conversation on: Successes & Failure in Blockchain tech. in a stubborn Web 2.0 world that I had with the very talented Dr. Rowa. A stage shared with my sage colleague Fattah Yatim. We covered tension in the regulation & innovation, Blockchain startups, success stories & how to induce change.
A seasoned critical Thinker and results orient Pan African leader: Dr Rowa possesses an admirable bias towards action. His solutionist approach and compliance know-how makes him a glove-fit: for the continent and wider DLT sector at large. An aptly timed landing particularly on the fintech end of the Block Chain spectrum.
I have reviewed the training materials and the manual on Leadership and Management which is excellent and due to the high quality of work we have received, intend on collaborating on other projects in the future.
My prophecy was true...!! The moment I met you I said to myself: This man is one of the people who will lead change in Mother Africa...!! Support our youth and remind them that Africa was the cradle of human civilization. We are just as good. Let Africans be authentic...!!
An accomplished scholar practitioner with unconventional but critical thinking that brings to scrutiny established theories behind known concepts and models. A new knowledge developer per excellence and at the highest level.
Thank you for your participation in the Global Startups Awards Jury Webinar in support of Africa startup ecosystem. Your guidance and expertise provided invaluable insights to our Regional Winners who found this pilot session to be a huge success owing to your thoughtful contributions.
It’s rare that you get an opportunity to meet & remember unsung at times unknown great leaders/colleagues you encountered on your journey that taught you what you know. My list of greats is endless from Hilangwa Maimbo, Dr. James Mwangi, Catherine Muraga, Joanna Bichsel, Michael Fortin and others. You sir Dr. Julian Rowa are amongst the greats!
An incredible speaker. He took us through the journey of Socio-Emotional Skills Development, with emphasis and insights that stood out on the journey of growing, optimizing, declining, and reinventing oneself as a professional and a trainer which deeply resonated with me.
An exceptional facilitator and moderator with a strong ability to translate strategy into clear, actionable simple to use outcomes. He skillfully guides conversations from concept to practical execution, aligning diverse perspectives while maintaining focus on purpose and results. Great at concept actualization.
“Catching up with Dr Rowa is like strapping into a rocket—no warm-up, immediate liftoff. One minute it’s "Hey," the next we’re debating the future of storytelling and questioning the universe over coffee. And “by the way, if in Migori, swing by Kar-Kweh sanctuary and let the art stir your thoughts.” Kar kweh is where you retreat to reset.
